Dope emcee dj/producer lp. Honestly I doubt Doom was with him while recording this psudo LP; because all of the beats are joints from other Doom projects or from Special Herbs. (Hence the title.) "Special Herbs & Spices" is mixing Doom's herbs with Grimm's "spices." Being the current state of Grimm and Doom's relationship, this is the closest product you're going to get for a long time.
Some of the tracks seem a little rushed with the rhymes... but I was told he freestyled a good portion of this. Other M.I.C. members make cameos along with Fat Man Scoop who psudo hosts the LP, which leads to the following questions.
Is it an album? A mix-tape? Don't know. It kind of falls inbetween the two as it's an entity of its own, but also a promotion for Grimm's triple LP "American Hunger."
If you're a HUGE Doom fan you might be dissapointed due to the metal faced villan not being on a single track and have hearing these beats before. But, if your a fan of Grimm and are looking for the closest thing to a colab LP outside of their split EP or Iblys... cop this joint. + See Full Customer Review |  |
